Norma Christoffersen Green passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 29, 2026 in Turlock, California, at the age of 89. Norma was born on December 28, 1936 in Turlock, California. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She lived a life marked by devotion to family, faithful service, and quiet strength. She enjoyed watching football and baseball and she was faithful to support her family in all of their sporting activities.
Norma attended Turlock High School where she participated in sports and played her flute in the band. She married and had three children, Daniel, Debbra, and Denise. She went to work for Foster Farms in the later 1970’s and worked for over 25 years. She enjoyed her work at Foster Farms bringing in birthday treats and decorating the office for holidays and special events. After retiring, she enjoyed working outside in her yard and attending 49er games.
Norma was very involved in her church at Bethel Temple. She taught the pre-school Sunday school class for over 30 years. She was involved in the women’s circle groups at Bethel Temple, meeting monthly until the circles ended. The circles held a bazaar at the end of the year raising money for missionaries. Norma then attended Four Seasons Christian Fellowship where she faithfully attended and sent out “we miss you” cards for the congregation.
Norma is survived by her son Daniel Green; daughters Debbra (Daryl) Finney and Denise (Dennis) Olson; grandchildren Daniel Green, Dexter Olson, Devon (Steffan) Newcomb, Derek (Nomie) Finney, Daren Finney, Denae Finney, Lindsay (Steven) Swink, Adam Kiss and 5 great-grandchildren; Charlotte and Dayne Newcomb, Matthew Finney, Parker Swink, and Kennedy Kiss. Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Holgar and Elsie Christoffersen; sisters, Carmen Harris, Delores Sondeno and brother, Larry Christoffersen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:30 am and followed by a luncheon at Four Seasons Christian Fellowship, 216 Columbia Street, Turlock, CA 95380. Graveside service will be at Turlock Memorial Park at 10:00 am on July 24, 2026. A viewing will be held on July 23, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm at Allen Mortuary, 247 North Broadway, Turlock Ca 95380.
