Patricia “Patti” Veitch
May 13, 1959 – June 24, 2026
Patti carried a bright and passionate spirit with her throughout her life. She was born and raised in Stockton, CA, and proudly attended California State University, Fresno, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting. Patti met and married Ken Veitch and together they raised two children and shared 43 years of marriage. She lived in Bakersfield for a few years before settling in Turlock over 30 years ago.
Patti’s favorite hobbies were an important part of the life she built and held dear. Since she first learned to sew as a little girl, Patti found lifelong joy in creating beautiful handmade items. She designed countless children ’s outfits, costumes, and treasured keepsakes, stitching love into every piece she made. An exceptional cook, she was always eager to try a new recipe, filling her kitchen with delicious meals, laughter, and the comforting feeling of home. She found solace in tending her garden and spending time outdoors, seeing beauty in every season. She also never outgrew her enjoyment of raccoon videos, which always made her smile. Patti never took life too seriously. She met each day with a lighthearted spirit and a sense of humor that reminded those around her to laugh often, cherish the moment, and appreciate the little things.
Above all, Patti treasured her role as a homemaker and found her greatest joy in fostering a loving home while raising her two children. She was endlessly devoted to her family and took immense pride in her children and grandchildren. Nothing brought her greater happiness than cheering them on from the sidelines at sporting events, celebrating their accomplishments, and supporting them in every activity they pursued. Her unwavering love, encouragement, and presence will remain a valued part of their lives forever.
Patti is survived by her husband Ken Veitch; children Brian (Amy) Veitch and Lauren (Matthew) Waggoner; grandchildren Dylan Veitch, Colin Veitch and Caleb Veitch, Riley Waggoner and Harper Waggoner; and brother Brian Riley. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Lois Riley and brother Michael Riley.
We entrust Patti to the mercy of God and find peace in knowing she is now resting securely in His care.
A memorial service celebrating Patti’s vibrant life and generous spirit will be held on Saturday July 18th, at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church in Turlock, CA. A celebration of life reception will follow immediately after the service. All who knew and loved Patti are warmly invited to join us in honoring an extraordinary woman who reminded us that the greatest gifts in life are love, kindness, and time spent together. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
