Phillip Norman Jensen, 84, of Hilmar, CA, went to be with our Lord on January 16, 2023. He was born September 30, 1938, to Oluf N. and Florence M. (Pratt) Jensen in Alturas, CA. He grew up in Stevinson, CA and was a 1956 graduate of Hilmar High School. He began working on his parent’s dairy at an early age, milking cows and farming.
Throughout the years he owned and operated the Turlock Ice Plant along with his family. He was very talented and went on to work for Chevron Research Company as an Engineering Supervisor for many years. He was an avid fisherman and was a Life Member of the North American Fishing Club. He enjoyed raising exotic birds and loved his dog, Lady!
He leaves behind a daughter Cathy Chipponeri (Tim) of Hilmar, son Paul Jensen of Arizona and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia Jensen, brother Robert L. Jensen and his children Phillip (Butch) Jensen, Erica Lewis, and Scott Jensen.
