Rodney Ray “Hot Rod” Taylor sadly passed away on March 8, 2021 at the age of 62.
Rod was born in Ogden, Utah to Ronald and Arlene Taylor on February 28, 1959. He was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Rod is survived by his mother Arlene J. Taylor of Atwater, CA, his daughter Melissa Taylor and son-in-law Michael Quick of Atwater, CA, his step-son Clfford Moore of Louisiana, his brothers Bart and Troy Taylor of Atwater, CA., his three grandchildren: Ashly Porter of Bakersfield, CA, Shawn and Katie Porter of Atwater, CA, and one great-granddaughter Olivia Thompson of Bakersfield, CA, as well as nieces and nephews.
Rod had many pursuits in life. His most recognized by family and friends was his kind and charitable heart. He enjoyed helping others in any way that he could. He also loved to garden, ride his bike, and work on cars.
He was preceded in death by his father Ronald Dean Taylor and his sister Sharma Lee Taylor.

March 12, 2021 at 2:23 amRod was definitely a great man and a lthough he may have not been rich when it came to money abmnd materialistic things h edd was probably one of the richest men I’ve known when it came to love loyalty and respect of others even when it was a child and h we came around would make sure that my sisters and I were fed and taken care of with still to this day means a lot I hope you guys are all ok Melissa Shawn Ashley Kady and everyone else who’s life he has touched rest easy man
