With deep love and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved father, Erskel “Jack” Sullivan. He left this world surrounded by family and love at the age of 100. Born March 29, 1925, he lived a century full of wisdom, warmth, and quiet strength. He was the kind of man whose presence made you feel safe and grounded. Erskel was a devoted husband of 75 years to his late wife JoAnn. Together they built not just a home but a legacy rooted in love and family. A passionate gardener, his garden wasn’t just a place, it was a reflection of him, “nurturing, strong and full of life.” He taught us to take our time to appreciate the little things and to always give more than we take. “Jack” as he was known to all of his TID buddies, retired in 1990 after 25 years of making a lot of good friends.
He is survived by his four children: Rhonda McWhorter of Carson City, NV, Danny Sullivan (Vicki) of Delhi, Jeannie Herrington (Chris) of Denair and Richard Sullivan of Sanger, Ca. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Dale and Larry , 3 sisters Dorothy, Ruby and Wilma.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Lula Sullivan, 3 brothers, Oral, Hollis and Ralph, and 1 sister, Helen.
God’s Garden
God looked around his Garden
and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth
and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
