In Loving Memory of AnnMarie Walker (1964-2025)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of AnnMarie Walker, age 60, on June 11, 2025 in Turlock, California, where she was surrounded by family.
A beloved wife, mother, “Vava,” sister, aunt, and friend, AnnMarie’s warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience that will continue to inspire those who knew her.
AnnMarie was born on July 26, 1964, in Patterson, California, to Steve and Julie Bettencourt. From a young age, AnnMarie was known for her warmth, fun-loving spirit, and unwavering kindness. She spent her early years on the family dairy and completed all her schooling in Hilmar, where she enjoyed activities such as cheerleading and student politics.
A devoted wife and mother, her family was the center of her world. In 1986, they welcomed their first child, Stephenie, followed by Dominic (1988), and Matthew (1989). AnnMarie poured her heart into creating a warm, nurturing environment for her family, making their home on the ranch in Delhi a place of safety and love, where they enjoyed many years as neighbors to her beloved parents.
AnnMarie loved all things “house,” and she enjoyed all types of homes, carrying that love of structures and architecture into her everyday life. This passion translated into her work as a realtor, where she found deep joy in serving the community by helping others find a place to call home.
Her happy place was anywhere near the ocean, specifically Pacific Grove, where she enjoyed many wonderful memories with her grandchildren. For many years, she particularly enjoyed the accompaniment of her mother, who lived nearby and eventually moved in. They shared many wonderful years as housemates, filled with love and companionship.
AnnMarie is preceded in death by her father, Steve Bettencourt. She is survived by her husband Daniel; her children, Stephenie (Andrew), Dominic (Hannah), and Matthew (Julie); ten grandchildren who were her pride and joy: Brody, Brooks, Gianna, Suzannamarie, Landon, Rowan, Jude, Danity, Mattalyn, and Greyson; her mother, Julie; her siblings, Dianna, Steve, Michael, John, and Christina; and extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close. She was lovingly referred to as “Nanny” by her family. She also leaves behind her best friend of over 45 years, Dennette Silva.
AnnMarie’s passing serves as a reminder of the importance of treasuring each precious moment we have with our loved ones. We will forever cherish the love, laughter, and warmth AnnMarie brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

June 18, 2025 at 4:12 pmDearest AnnMarie, Who would have thought the four of us from class of 82 would have a son & daughter to grow up and get married to each other? We became grandparents (Vava & Grammy) together and I will always cherish that special day. Now you got your angel wings exactly 12 years, to the day, later. I am blessed to share 3 amazing grandchildren with you. Thank you for my amazing son-in-law, Matt I know that’s your baby and pride & joy always. You did good and every day he continues to make you proud. You are deeply missed and will always be remembered.
