Pamela Jean Owens was born February 26, 1954 in Turlock, California. Pamela passed away June 23, 2025 after a short illness. Pamela’s parents were Orvile and Dorothy Owens who preceded her in death. Pamela leaves behind a brother Steven Owens (Claire) from Turlock. Nephews: Gus Ferreira (Cami), Scott Ferreira (Kara), and Stacey McCord (Alan). 9 great nieces and nephews which were her pride and JOY. She loved to spoil the nieces and nephews with a card and a bit of cash for every holiday. She also gave them yearly a Christmas ornament that reflected their interest that particular year.
Pamela graduated from Turlock High School and Modesto Junior College. Pamela began her employment at 20 for the Denair Community Service District where she worked as the District Secretary. Pamela took a lot of pride in her 42-year position at Denair Community. Many of her customers were a friend to her.
After her retirement, Pamela developed a passion for discovering her family heritage. She explored deep into her family tree, in order to leave a detailed account of who we were and how it shapes our family identity today. She used this talent and creativity for friends to discover their own family legacies as well.
A private burial is planned. A Celebration of life will be held July 19 at the Denair Community Center at 11AM.
