Ramon Oseguera Esquivel
September 7, 1956 – August 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of a beloved husband and father. Ramon Oseguera Esquivel, 69 of Turlock, California, passed away peacefully at Doctors Hospital in Modesto, California, on August 1, 2025, with his Wife Judy by his side. Ramon is survived by his Wife, Judy Esquivel, of 49 years. His children, Daughter Dorenda and Jesse Esparza of Turlock, Daughter Nicky Montgomery of Petaluma, Daughter Clarissa and Darrell Burnett of Turlock, and Son Ramon Jr of Modesto, grandchildren Darrell Burnett Jr, Brianna Gupton, Jesus Esparza Jr, Alejandro Esparza, Kayleigh Beasley, Gabriella Isaza, Juliana Esparza, Adriana Isaza, and Christopher Isaza. Great grandchildren: Justin Burnett, Zaona Burnett, Jacob Burnett, Brileigh Gupton, Isla Beasley. Lots of brothers and Sisters, Aunts and Uncles.
Family & community were everything to Ramon. He was a loving partner, a dedicated parent, and a pillar of strength for those around him. His home was a sanctuary—a place filled with laughter, music, and the aroma of home-cooked meals that sometimes smelled funny. He loved all food and was always trying new foods that most would not even look at twice. Somehow, he always made those strange foods taste good, even stinky liver or tripas. Music filled his life—soulful records and Mariachi music on 8-track tapes were the best.
Gardening was one of his greatest joys of all time. Tending plants and flowers had brought meaning through simple pleasures, like a sunrise, or work done well after a hard day’s work in the sun.
Ramon and Judy had created a safe-haven home for animals dumped out onto the country roads, where each creature was cherished and loved. Every animal left on their doorstep is well fed and given a warm place to lay their heads on until a new home is found. Their home is a sanctuary filled with wagging tails, purrs, and chirps, reflecting the joy they brought to every animal’s life.
Ramon was a friend to many. He built connections with others by being genuine and helpful, consistently offering assistance or engaging in conversation. He believed in the power of community, volunteering his time, offering support in moments of crisis to those around him, and celebrating the achievements of others with a friendly glass of homemade wine in the rustic Ole’ barn. He made everyone feel welcome, whether at a backyard barbecue, a community event, or a conversation over his favorite meal, Carne Con Chili, at the dinner table with family, friends, or neighbors.
We deeply feel his absence but are grateful to have had him in our lives. In honoring his memory, we pledge to carry forward the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the joy he brought into our lives. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit endures—in our hearts, in our stories, and in the lives we lead.
“You will be missed more than words can express, but you will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, surrounded by the light and love you so freely gave.”
