Laurie Ann Delgado, 63, of Delhi, died on October 13, 2025 due to a long battle with pneumonia. Laurie was born in Turlock, California, the youngest of six children to Dan and Shirley Silva. Laurie grew up in Delhi and attended Delhi schools and Turlock High School. She met the love of her life, John Delgado, at the young age of 13. Her best friend, Mary, introduced her to John. Laurie and John were a match made in heaven, and they were the cutest couple! They were married three years later in January 1978, and were married for 34 years. Laurie loved her children and grandchildren so much. Laurie loved shopping, antiquing, jewelry, anything blinged out with rhinestones, making people laugh, and she loved flowers, roses being her favorite.
Laurie was a respected business owner of Delgado’s Cabinets in Delhi for many years with her husband, John. Laurie was a very involved community member, and she was a school board member for the Delhi Unified School District for over sixteen years. Laurie was a kind and loving person, and she always made people feel loved and special. Laurie had a funny sense of humor, and she loved making people laugh and smile. Laurie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Laurie will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who knew her.
Laurie was preceded in death by her loving husband, her father, her in-laws Lazaro and Aniceta Delgado, her brothers Dan Silva Jr. and Steve Silva, her brothers-in-law Larry Delgado and Wally Delgado, and sisters-in-law Esther Delgado, Irma Sandoval, and Olga Delgado. Laurie is survived by her three children: Mandie (Anthony) Onate of Denair, Ginger (Jesse) Aguiar of Delhi, and John (Stevie) Delgado of Turlock. Grandchildren: Dominic (Erika) Onate, Abigayle (Gavin) Bettencourt, Jesse James Aguiar, Lillyana Aguiar, Levi Aguiar, Autumn Delgado, and Johnny Delgado. Laurie is also survived by her mother, Shirley Silva, her three siblings: Manuel (Connie) Silva, Donna (Rick) Davenport, and Richard Silva, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary (247 N. Broadway in Turlock, CA) on Sunday, October 19th from 4 pm to 7 pm, with a prayer service and sharing of memories at 5 pm. The funeral service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Monday, October 20th from 10 am to 11:30 am. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park (575 N.
