Mohinder Singh Sahota
February 1940 – January 2026
Mohinder Singh Sahota passed away in January 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, service, and quiet strength. He was born in India, where he honorably served his country in the Indian Army for 30 years. Following his military service, he worked in agriculture before migrating to the United States in pursuit of new opportunities for his family.
Mohinder first settled in Fremont, California, and later made his home in Modesto, where he lived for the past 29 years. A disciplined and hardworking man, he was known for his steady presence and deep commitment to his loved ones. He enjoyed cycling and, in his younger years, was an avid hockey player—activities that reflected his lifelong appreciation for physical activity and perseverance.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kuldeep Kaur, and a grandchild.
Mohinder is survived by his two daughters, Simar Dhami and Jaswinder Kular; his son, Harwinder Sahota; and five cherished grandchildren, who were a great source of pride and joy in his life.
A Sikh funeral service will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Allen Mortuary.
