Wayne Edward Carter
September 1962 – January 2026
Wayne Edward Carter, age 63, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Missouri and raised in Turlock, California, where he attended local schools.
Wayne worked for several years as a mechanic, a trade that reflected his hands-on skills. Prior to the onset of his illness, Wayne lived an active life and was an avid fisherman who greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors. He also had a deep love for animals and shared a special bond with his beloved cats.
Wayne is survived by his son, Derek Herrington; his daughter, Amy Herrington-Frith; and his brother, David Carter.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held at a later date.
