Maria Antionette Marshall was born October 19, 1948 in Tipton, Georgia. She attended grade school in Georgia and when in the 7th grade, Maria and her family relocated to California. She continued her education in Dos Palos and graduated from Dos Palos High School in 1966.
After graduating, Maria immediately began working for several businesses she loved. She was employed by Tri Valley Growers for over 20 years. Maria’s greatest accomplishment was being a mother to her son Marcus Cornelius Marshall.
Maria was truly devoted to her faith. She united with Mt. Moriah First Baptist Church in 1960. She served in various positions in the church ministry. She was a member of the choir and a Trustee Board member.
Maria loved spending time with her son and family. She always wore her trademark beautiful smile and filled the space with joyous laughter. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and mother.

Maria departed this life December 29, 2025 in Merced, California. She was 77 years old. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories, two brothers, Howard and Ronald Redding, her son Marcus, a sister in law Juanita Redding and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.
A Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Moriah First Baptist Church 21372 Reynolds Avenue, Dos Palos, CA 93620
