In Loving Memory of Rakesh “Rocky” Prasad
Rakesh Prasad, age 59, of Merced, California, passed away peacefully at his home on March 23, 2026.
Rakesh was born on August 24, 1966, in Lami, Fiji, to his late parents, Kalika Prasad and Chandra Prasad.
Affectionately known as “Rocky,” he will be remembered as a funny, hardworking man who brought joy to everyone around him. He had a deep love for cooking, fishing, and playing card games. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends and truly enjoyed life to the fullest.
He is lovingly survived by his children, Ashley Prasad, Alicia Prasad, and Akshaye Prasad; and his beloved granddaughter, Aylanni Prasad. He is also survived by his siblings, Sashi Hayes, Sakeena Khan, and Salesh Prasad.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, California 95380. A celebration of life will follow in Merced.
Rakesh’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
