John Silva, our beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, age 58 of Modesto, California died March 10, 2026.
John was born in French Camp, California on July 1, 1967, to Jose and Josefina Silva. He was proud of his Mexican heritage and had fond memories of growing up in Escalon and Denair, California. John graduated from Denair High School after which he attended some college. John worked in the construction trade as a Journeyman Carpenter in Stanislaus County. He was a hard worker and could fix anything. John loved the ocean and outdoors. He loved to cook, learn new things and serve his family. He was a friend to all who met him. He was charismatic and always willing to help anyone in need.
After marrying, John and Kathy lived in Modesto with her two beautiful children, Jacob and Cameron. John was most proud of being a husband, father and grandfather to nine beautiful children ranging from ages 10 to 3.
John was preceded in death by his father, Jose Silva and other family and friends. John is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kathy, his mother-in-law, Rita Johnson, his son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Grethel, and their children Annalei, Callum, Ethan, Ben and Elise; his daughter and son-in-law, Cameron and Jeff and their children Abby, Hattie, Jack and Eden. He is also survived by his mother, Josefina Silva, his 3 sisters, Angie, Jessie and Margaret, and his brothers, Carlos, Joe, and Rick.
John will forever be remembered for his willingness to share his love and joy. John will be missed dearly by his family, extended family and friends.
A memorial service is to be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary, 247 N Broadway, Turlock, CA.
