Roxanne Lagan, 74, of Modesto, California, passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 15, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 16, 1952, in San Francisco, California to Richard and Lynn (Dunham) Del Fran.

Roxanne was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and joy touched everyone around her. She earned her associate’s degree and spent much of her career as a preschool teacher, where she nurtured and cared for young children with patience, kindness, and a genuine love for helping others grow.

She found great happiness in life’s simple pleasures—traveling to new places, gardening, crafting, dancing, singing along to her favorite music, and spending meaningful time with her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit and love for connection created lasting memories for all who knew her.

Roxanne is survived by her children: Lynn Witt (Damon), Jason C. Lagan, and Eva Van Dyke (Jeremy); her step-sons, Kevin Lagan (Raquel) and Jason Lagan; her brother, Roy Del Fran; her cherished grandchildren, Kelsie (Cody), Kerina, Andriana, Eturnitee, Lucien, Azariah, Josias, Izekiel, Allyson, Joshua, Alexis and Ashley; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Paige and Reagan. As well as many others she has called her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lynn Del Fran; her brother, Rick Del Fran; and her former husband and the father of her children, Byron Lagan.

 

A funeral service will be held on April 27, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, California.

 

Roxanne will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful personality, and the deep care she showed to her family and everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on through the lives she touched and the family she cherished so deeply.
