Dennis Lee Chapman May 6, 1951 - May 21, 2026

Dennis Lee Chapman 75, of Turlock passed away peacefully 05/21/2026 surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 6, 1951 in Kansas City, MO to James and Betty Chapman. In his earlier years, he proudly owned and operated Modesto TV Service before later dedicating 25 years of service to California State University, Stanislaus. He was known for being hardworking, loyal, and yes- very stubborn which was just part of what made him who he was. He faced life in his own way and on his own terms, and those that knew him best wouldn’t have it any other way.

He was always protective of his girls, even down to the end. Dennis was known for always willing to lend a helping hand, whenever his family or friends needed it. He loved camping and fishing and was always up for having a good time. Some of his happiest moments were spent cheering on his two grandsons, Drake and Brayden at their little league games. He also shared a very special bond with his only granddaughter, Sydney, who brought endless joy to his life.

He is survived by the love of his life since the 7th grade, Chris (Beers) Chapman; his daughters, Kari (James) Small and Jamie Browning; 3 grandchildren-Sydney(Tommy) Ravera, Drake (Amirah) Browning and Brayden Small; 2 great-grandchildren-Tommy Jr. and Waylon Ravera; and siblings, Jim Chapman, Kathy Mohring and Deborah Tribble. He was preceded in death by his parents.
