I struggle to find adequate words that would express how I feel about Bev, Mom. I often tease my husband that I fell in love with his family long before I fell in love with him and it is true, the biggest reasons being centered on Bev. She was a person that personified kindness and she easily drew people in from all walks of life, because of that quality. She showed genuine concern and interest through not only her talent of conversation, but through her cooking. One rarely left her home without both body and spirit being full to the brim.
Mom, thanks for being the mother-in-law that everyone always wishes they had. Thanks also for being the beacon that drew me to the family that I love ever so dearly. You are and will forever be loved and I treasure that fact.

Mammaw was one of my very best friends. I’m still amazed at how she was instantly able to tell my voice from my mom and sister when we called. She taught me service through her amazing example! She cared so much for everyone that sacrifice was really never an issue to her. She gave, and she gave. She cooked and she fed. She hugged, kissed, welcomed, counseled, cheered for, cried with, and laughed plentifully. Her home was a place to feel loved and comfortable.

Mam represented quality, class, and endurance in such a way that everyone was enriched by her presence.

My sweet Aunt Bev who always made me feel worthy, special and loved. Many days you would fill my heart with your warm and loving words. Sometimes you would just say “honey” and I tear up. Love you much Auntie. See you on the other side. You will be missed.
