Jack Ira Keener, 56 of Turlock, CA passed away on April 15, 2018 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. Jack was born in French Camp, CA on September 18, 1961. He grew up in Salida and was one of seven children. Jack took on his father’s family trade in becoming a master tile setter, who in turn passed on his skills to multiple family members. He was a proud perfectionist and didn’t accept anything less than that.
Jack married his high school sweetheart on June 14, 1981 in Turlock, where they settled and had two daughters, Julie and Rebecca. Jack was a hardworking and honorable family man who enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and the occasional hunting trip. Jack mostly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones barbequing and staying up all hours of the night playing games. He cherished times spent with his in-laws and considered all of his nieces and nephews as his own. He will be forever missed.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Tammy, brother Stuart, and nephew Donald. He is survived by two daughters Julie Keener Lundquist and Rebecca Keener Santos; four grandchildren Jason, Leah, Christopher and Eve; and five siblings Ron (Mia) Keener, Richard Keener, Debbie Gray, Darla (Paul) Nehring, and Donna (Allen) Perry.
Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.

    Julie and Becky,

I have no words to describe how heart broken I am for both of you. I loved both your parents and enjoyed sharing Jordana with them. I am forever grateful to them for sharing you, Julie, with me.

You dad is now at peace and reunited with your mom.

I wish I was in California to give you both hugs. I love you both and if you need to talk or a shoulder to cry on I am here.

  2. Jordana says

Jack was like a father to me and I am so lucky to have grown up with Julie as my best friend. He and Tammy were the definition of love and I am picturing the two of them together again. Julie and Becky, I wish I could be there for you both during this time. Love you both.

~Jordana or as Jack would call me “Jo”
