My beloved wife, Janice Deigan, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family the afternoon of February 10, 2021. She was 75 years old at the time and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janice was born in Alameda, California, on October 26, 1945. She grew up in the Bay Area and met a wonderful girl named Sandy, and they became lifelong friends; Sandy was with her to the end. In 1965 Janice met a wonderful and caring man named Ronald Deigan, and they were married on September 6, 1969. Janice had a few different jobs early in her life. When she was older, she found her passion, which was to help people, and she started her career at convalescent homes in the Activity Department. Janice loved creating a way for the patients to stay active and happy. She then moved into the Social Service Department, where she guided the families whose loved ones needed twenty-four-hour care that they could not provide themselves.

Ron and Janice raised two beautiful children Karen and Dan. Janice was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She enjoyed baking cookies and fudge (Chocolate Chicken) with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In 1984 she began the fight of her life when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Janice’s cancer returned many times, and she fought fiercely to the end. Now we must say our final farewells to Janice but know that she will always be with us wherever we are. Janice’s fight and determination allowed her many more years than expected, and she spent all her time making wonderful memories with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Deigan, their two children Karen Beidleman and Dan Deigan, her four grandchildren Chad, Amanda, Samantha, Mikayla, and her two great-grandchildren Leah Chester and Coner Deigan. She is also survived by her two brothers Bob Gardner and James “Duke” Brecheen, and one sister Sharon Adams.
