Hard Working Man And Great Provider

About the Service

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Allen Mortuary.

John loved being outdoors, especially in the mountains at deer camp or on the lake fishing.  He was a hardworking man and a great provider.  John loved taking care of his family, from feeding them to taking care of their cars.  John could fix anything that was broken.  He was proud of the garden he shared with friends and family.

John loved being a Papa and was loyal and always stood for what was   right.  He was a wise man of few words but when he spoke, you wanted to listen. Forever we will hold him dear in our hearts until we see him again.

John is survived by his wife Dena Gray; mother Charlene Gray; children Preston Burnett, John Gray Jr., Kim Burnett, Richard Gray, Megan Gray and Shea McKee; grandchildren Cortney, Brad, Sera, Calei, Daniel, Cheyenne, Wyatt and Sadie.  John was preceded in death by Janice Gray, C.H. Gray, Linda Maxey and Richard Gray.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Allen Mortuary.  Please share your memories at www.AllenMortuary.com.

We just can’t believe you’re gone, it won’t be the same without you in the court . You left much too young… our deepest condolences to your family. 2. Dad, what can I say my heart is broken. Thank you for everything you taught me. I am who I am today because of you. You helped make me a strong, independent person who will always put her family first. I know because you always put us kids first. Cheyenne and Wyatt just adore you. You are the greatest Papa. They loved to see you everyday and I’m so grateful for this last year that I was so close. Thank you for every wonderful meal you would cook, thank you for always being there in every time of need. Thank you for all the great memories I will cherish them forever. I have been so proud to call you my Dad. I know in my heart that I will see you again and when I do I know that time I won’t have to let go…I love you. Love always your little girl.

  3. Thank you for being a great uncle. Helping me to pour just the right color of worm. And telling me what they are biting on. I will miss the campfires and beer drinking times, and all the gut busting laughs. Catch a lot of big ones in that new lake you are now fishing. I will always be your net man!!! Love you Uncle John and see you again someday.

  4. Babe, you are my strength, my best friend and my love. You took care of me and protected me you were a true and faithful husband and I thank God for almost 25 years of happiness with you I wish we would have had 25 more! Our home feels empty without you here with me. I will do my best to finish all of the projects we planned together and hopefully you would be proud. I talk to you daily. I smell your cologne and I listen to your voice mail telling me that we are out of paper towels and could I stop by Walmart and get some. These are small things I am grateful to have. I miss you my love
