John Kohut

John was born in Downers Grove, IL and passed away at the age of 79. He served in the National Guard and worked in construction for over 50 years. He took great pride in working and also enjoyed woodworking in his spare time.

John is survived by his daughter and son in law Tyra and Mark Jensen and his son John Paul Kohut; sisters Cathy Nelson and Anne Kohut, and brothers Pete and James Kohut; grandchildren Brandee, Kristy and Nina; great grandchildren Alex, Isac, Miles and Quentin. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Marie Kohut, parents Andrew and Irma Kohut, and siblings Joe Kohut and Margaret Garcia.

Private services were held.

I was so sad to see John has passed on. My heart goes out to all of his family. especially his daughter Tyra who loved him so much. I shall remember him with fondness as well as with awe at his many talents. I always enjoyed talking with him and seeing his blue eyes twinkling back at me. He was special and I will miss him.
