Juan Birrueta was born on Oct. 18, 1941 in Rancho Cueros Quemados (now known as San Antonio) in the state of Michoacan, Mexico to Antonio and Maria del Rosario Birrueta.

Juan Birrueta nació el 18 de octubre de 1941 en Rancho Cueros Quemados (ahora conocido como San Antonio) en el estado de Michoacán, Mxico, de Antonio y María del Rosario Birrueta.

In Mexico he was an agriculture worker. He came to the United States seeking the American Dream and a better future for his family. He met Maria Guadalupe when he was 17 years old and she was 15. They were married on July 11, 1961 and celebrated 58 years together. He has 5 daughters and 2 sons, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy. He established his life in Livingston for 25 years where he dedicated his career to Foster Farms for 30 years. Juan was also very active in the Knights of Columbus of Saint Jude’s Catholic Church in Livingston. He attended mass on a regular basis on Sundays in which he assisted with the mass. Juan then moved to Delhi where he retired and continued to take care of his new home. He took “Pride of Ownership” in all of the homes he lived in, where he created beautiful gardens with flowers, vegetables and many varieties of fruit trees. His home in Delhi was no exception. Juan made his home a paradise for his family to gather together.  He was a loving and kind man.  Always doing for others and sharing his kindness.

En Mxico era un trabajador agrícola. Llegó a los Estados Unidos buscando el sueño americano y un futuro mejor para su familia. Conoció a María Guadalupe cuando tenía 17 años y ella 15. Se casaron el 11 de julio de 1961 y celebraron 58 años juntos. Tiene 5 hijas y 2 hijos, y muchos nietos y bisnietos. Su familia era su orgullo y alegría. Estableció su vida en Livingston durante 25 años, donde dedicó su carrera a Foster Farms durante 30 años. Juan tambin fue muy activo con Los Caballeros de Colón en la Iglesia Católica de San Judas en Livingston. Asistía a misa regularmente los domingos en los que asistía con la misa. Luego, Juan se mudó a Delhi, donde se retiró y continuó cuidando su nuevo hogar. Tomó “Orgullo de propiedad” en todas las casas en las que vivía, donde creó hermosos jardines con flores, verduras y muchas variedades de árboles frutales. Su hogar en Delhi no fue la excepción. Juan hizo de su hogar un paraíso para que su familia se reuniera. Era un hombre amoroso y amable. Siempre haciendo por los demás y compartiendo su amabilidad.

Juan is survived by his loving wife (A Juan le sobrevive su amada esposa) Maria Guadalupe; daughter Graciela Garey and husband Salvador O. Garey, daughter Maria Cruz Mendoza and husband Luis Mendoza, son Jose Birrueta, daughter Delmy Baltazar and husband Homero Baltazar, daughter Danelia Birrueta Baltazar and Fiance Edward L. Hickman, Jr, daughter Yolanda Birrueta, son Sergio Birrueta, grandchildren Marylu Gonzalez, Jorge Mendoza, Jose Angel Garey, Amy LLanes, Lorena Mendoza, Rene Mendoza, Soledad Baltazar, Patricia Baltazar, Jalisa Baltazar, Maritza Ventura-Baltazar, Anthony Birrueta, Tyler Alexander Baltazar, Edleen Garey, Briannah Danelia Birrueta, Xavier Birrueta,  Ezequiel Baltazar, Soraya Birrueta, Melissa Giselle Birrueta, Saul Garey, Jasmin Baltazar, Valdemar Birrueta, Maya Birrueta, Karla Birrueta; great-grandchildren Nathaniel Gonzalez, Kylea Gonzalez, Mylah Gonzalez, Jesus Chavolla, Benjamin Llanes, and Ezriel Ventura-Baltazar; brother Andres Birrueta.  Juan is also survived by sisters, brother in laws, many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews.

Juan was preceded in death by his loving parents Antonio and Maria del Rosario Birrueta.
