About the Service

Graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00a.m.

Lance Aaron Woodburn of Hilmar, CA passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the age of 42 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with his mom, brother and two sisters by his side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  Lance and his twin brother Joseph were born on February 8, 1978 in Merced, CA.  He attended elementary through high school in Hilmar.  Lance worked at H&R Auto Body Shop in Turlock until his diagnosis.  Although Lance never had children of his own, he was loved and looked up to by his nieces and cousins kids.  He would always take time for them no matter what he was doing.  Lance loved being outside, he was an avid fisherman who could be found at the river most days.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother Viola Guinard; uncle Rodney Guinard; aunt Vicky LeFevre and cousin Shonna LeFevre.  Lance is survived by his mother Anita; stepfather Raymond of Turlock; brother Joseph Woodburn of Turlock; sisters Maria (Steve) Furtado of Patterson, Dawn (Elvino) Ferreira of Hilmar; nieces Brittany Woodburn of Turlock, Hannah Ferreira of Hilmar; aunt Star (Juan) Maciel of Hilmar; uncles Juan Maciel Louie (Cheryl) Guinard of Patterson, Greg (Debbie) McCurdy of Delhi.  He was also loved and will be greatly missed by his many cousins and friends.

Lance had a smile and laugh that could light up the darkest of nights.  He has created an eternal void.  He would want us to remember him as he was a humble, kind and a fighter. This world only gets people like Lance every once in a while.

Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 8:30a.m. Graveside service will be held at Turlock Memorial Park on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 10:00a.m.

  1. Heaven gained another angel. Lance, you were such an amazing person inside and out, even though I didn’t know you very well, your still family and i love you. Last thing I remember was seeing you at Maria and Steve’s wedding so full of life laughing and sharing your one of a kind personality with everyone there. You will be deeply missed by your family ❤ we love you Lance Woodburn,may you rest in piece and not have to suffer any longer.
