Leona A. Williamson, 89 of Hilmar, passed away on October 1, 2021. She was born in Panama, Central America, on May 15, 1932, to Roscoe and Marjorie Wycoff. After moving to Texas, she met the love of her life, Joel Williamson. They were married in 1965 and happily spent the next 45 years together. Leona and Joel settled in Hilmar in 1988. Joel passed away in 2011.
Leona is survived by her children Michael Ward (Darrien) of Silverdale, Washington and Roberta Williamson of Hilmar, CA., her siblings Ted Wycoff of Yuma, AZ, Leroy Wycoff of Collinsville, IL and Charles McDowell of Pueblo, CO. Leona is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for Leona at 1:00 on Thursday, October 14th at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock. Burial will be private at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery.
