My deepest sympathies to the family of Paul Rodrigues.
Dear Maryanne, John, Jim, and Marlissa.
I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was always the quiet one, but had a great sense of humor. We had a great time playing together when we were children.

I was fortunate to work with Paul at TID for 30 years and to know him as a trusted friend for 40 years. On my first day working at TID I was assigned to help Paul install communications cables at La Grange Power Plant. Paul was an experienced Journeyman Electronic Technician, and I was a green apprentice. Paul patiently spent most of the morning teaching me all the details about how to terminate the many small wires in the communications cable onto a termination block. Toward the end of the day I messed-up and cut one of the wires too short. I assumed a new 3000-foot cable would need to be installed to fix the problem and that I would probably get fired, since I was on probation for the first 30 days. I nervously told Paul the mistake I had made. I couldn’t believe it when he made a little laugh and smiled, explaining that he knew I might make such a mistake and so he had left some slack in a junction box which we could pull on to correct the mistake. No mention of my error was ever made to anyone else and after my probation period I became a permanent employee at TID.

Paul and I went on to form a special friendship over the following 40 years, helping each other on many occasions in many ways. It won’t be the same without you Paul. I will miss you immensely.

God bless you Paul your at peace and with mom and dad. . I met Paul back in 78 after his brother moved next door to us in Denair and then reconnect with him at the thrift shop we both volunteered at Sacred a Heart thrift shop. What a wonderful person his smile and Humor made your sad day turn happy . Handy he was he’d make the broken vacuum come alive or the lamp light up again the thrift shop was like his second home just to tinker. Paul will be missed by so many who loved him and knew him. Rest In Peace my friend.
