Great Grandpa Richard, I am not good with my words but I wish I could have told you how much you meant to me and how much you have impacted my life. You are a one of a kind man and I’m so blessed to be your great granddaughter. I enjoyed coming up during the summer and going over your place, I always loved performing my new dances for you and learning new songs to sing. I know you know how much I loved you but I wish I would have told you more. Thank you for being such an amazing great grandfather to me. I know you’re watching over us and smiling down on us. Your great great granddaughter would have loved to meet you and I know you two would of been so close, but I know you have met in spirit. You won’t ever be forgotten, you have left behind a legacy. I love you G-PA Richard, keep protecting us down here and fly high.

There are so many memories i have too many to count. Grandpa Richard was such a kind hearted man. Even as a kid i can feel his kindness. He knew how much i loved spaghetti and chocolate. So anytime i came over he had spaghetti and chocolate ready for me. He showed his love through giving and he gave a lot. He had the back room ready for my siblings and i always had disney channel ready for us. He served us tv dinner and spaghetti. He definitely left a impact on me and i will always remember him and all of his glory. He really was an amazing man. And i hope he is serving jesus spaghetti and chocolate up in heaven.

Richard, you were a dear friend to me because of your friendship of about 57 years with my husband Constantino. I remember the wonderful times we shared together and I always looked forward to those times because with your and my husband’s dynamic personalities, I knew there would be a lot of joking and laughter, and there always was. I particularly remember your kindness, endearing positive spirit and how much your and our shared Christian faith meant to you.It was a real source of strength for you. May you now rest in the loving arms of Jesus. I look forward to seeing you in eternal life where there is love without end. Maryann Santos

Richard was indeed my true friend who I met while working at Sunshine Noscuits in Oakland. We remained friends until his passing. I treasure wonderful memories of Richard. I shall forever remember Richard saying: “No person should make the lives of others more difficult than what it is.” Rest in God’s peace. Until we meet again, goodbye my treasured friend. Constantino “Nick” Santos
