Ronnald Roy Cossey
September 1947 ~ March 2021
Ronnald was born in Eureka, CA to Roy and Ella Cossey and passed away at the age of 73.
Ronn is survived by his wife Carol Cossey; children Jaimie (Kelly) Cossey and Chad (Jamie Lynn) Cossey; four grandchildren CJ Cossey, Noah Cossey, Brody Cossey and Brittany (Don) Fowzer; mother Ella Brown and brother Allan (Donna) Patton. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Cossey.
Ronn focused his life on being a role model husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He taught by example and to that end, raised a strong loving family alongside his wife of 51years. Ronn enjoyed a colorful and productive existence, and likely lived three lifetimes in his 73 years. He was a decorated veteran of the United States Army and served in the Vietnam conflict courageously, earning three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star. He was a published author and co-author of NamRaq, a book which brilliantly and graphically allowed a peek into both the Vietnam War and Desert Storm from the perspective of the combatant.
In addition, Ronn was an avid “hot rod” enthusiast and builder, loved firearms and humbly bragged about his family any chance he had.
He was and always will be a counselor to all of us, and the patriarch of his family. The warrior has become the angel. Rest easy Dad, we have it from here.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Private military services will be held.
