Rosemarie was born on April 25, 1956 in French Camp, CA to Arthur and Lois Gonzales. She married her husband Jesse Garcia Jr. on April 5, 1986 in Merced, CA officiated by Elder Bill Yandris.
Rosemarie received her education in Stanislaus County. She attended Franklin Elementary, Mark Twin Middle School and Modesto High School.
Rose was a businesswoman; she owned and operated a furniture store in downtown Merced for many years with her husband Jesse.
As a member of the Apostolic Tabernacle, she volunteered and actively participated in fundraising for her church, including bake sales and the annual 4th of July fireworks stand. She and her husband also enjoyed opening their home for weekly Bible studies and fellowship. Rosemarie had a big heart with lots of love to give. A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and auntie, she loved spending quality time with her family. Some of our best memories were birthdays and holidays. Rosemarie enjoyed gardening, shopping, vacationing, cooking, baking and the company of her dog Emmit.
She is survived by her devoted husband Jesse Garcia Jr.; daughter Mona Gonzales, stepson Jesse Garcia III and stepdaughter Stephanie Reeman; grandchildren Luther Brookins III, Vanessa Brookins, Ahshadae Welch, Ciarrah Gonzales, Jesse Garcia IV and Elijah Garcia; great grandchildren Zayden Duncan, Natalya Brookins, Ellion Bowers, Amora and Ameera Bowers; siblings Christina Gonzales, Marilyn Gonzales and Arthur Gonzales; brother-in-laws John Garcia and Simon Garcia; nieces and nephews Mario, Zasu, Jalula, John, Henry, Melissa, Vincent, Phillip, Rosanna, Amelia, Ignacio, Joseph, Alyssa, James, Yarine, Edman, Lisa, Sarah, Eric, and Dustin; and over 35 great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gave and Mabel Arias; both parents Arthur and Lois Gonzales; father and mother-in-law Jesse Sr. and Amelia Garcia; brother-in-law Arthur Garcia; sisters Priscilla Gonzales and Lupe Gamez.
Funeral Service will be at Apostolic Tabernacle Church 2745 CA-140 in Merced, CA. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 11:00am. burial to follow at Merced Cemetery.
