About the Service

Viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 4:00-6:00p.m.  Funeral will also be at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 9:00a.m.  with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park

Ruben was born in Mexico to Cornelio and Amelia Villa Hernandez and passed away suddenly at the age of 49. He will be remembered as a caring and happy man who always had a smile on his face.  Ruben was an amazing husband and together he and his wife Dawn shared 25 years of marriage.  He adored his children and enjoyed watching them play sports. He taught his children to walk the right path in life and loved his family.  Ruben was perfect in every way.

He is survived by his wife Dawn Villa; children Branden Villa and Briana Villa; parents Cornelio and Amelia Villa Hernandez; siblings Emma (Luis) Guzman and Ramiro (Maria Gutierrez) Villa; mother in law Dolleen Self and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Remembrances

  1. He was definitely a breath of fresh air. He fit right in up here at Reno usfood. Always positive, polite, funny and kind. I would call him “that Livermore guy”. He will always be remembered and missed dearly. I remember his smile and that makes me smile.

  2. I remember Ruben and I had us food interview the same day . So that means we got hired the same day , 13 years ago, we didn’t talk much but he was a cool cat . It’s funny every time I would see him in the yard , we would say to Each other (you still work here)lol . My condolences To his family…. Rest in Paradise Ruben

  3. He was my co worker at USFOODS, Reno, Nevada. Always polite and kind. He was like a brother to me, I am proud to call him a friend and a brother. I will always miss him.

  4. Ruben you will be missed every 49er game you will be in our hearts from here on. You are everything your family and wife said about you god bless the Medranos

  5. I will always remember the great times we had playing softball and bowling on teams together and all the great other memories we all had together… U was a great friend and u will be forever missed love u… R.i.p.
