Remembrances

  1. Dear Troy,
If you find your place in the world, a place where you make a real difference to those around you
Then you have found wealth beyond imagination

To appreciate beauty, to always find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better
Whether by a child, a garden spot, or a redeemed social condition
To know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived
    This is to have succeeded

If these two thoughts are true, then Troy, you were the richest, most successful person I’ve ever known. I thank you Troy for always choosing to see the best in me. I love you and I am assured I will see you again one of these days.
    Your nephew, John

  2. Sara and family, our hearts break for you. Troy will be missed by so many. We are so sorry for your loss, you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers, may God and your wonderful memories help you through these difficult times.

  3. Condolences to family and friends. During difficult times as this we reflect on our memories. May you receive comfort from John 6:40.

  4. So go and run free with the angels
    Dance around the golden clouds
For the lord has chosen you to be with him
And we should feel nothing but proud
Although he has taken you from us
And our pain a lifetime will last
Your memory will never escape us
But make us glad for the time we did have
Your face will always be hidden
    Deep inside our hearts
Each precious moment you gave us
    Shall never, ever depart
So go and run free with the angels
    As they sing so tenderly
And please be sure to tell them
To take good care of you for me

  5. My brothers and I grew up with our cousin Troy and his sisters. He was always a kind and loving man. I hadn’t seen Troy for many years, but he will leave a huge vacancy in our family. Much love to his family and friends. He is in God’s hands now.

  6. Welcomed a large fraternity of like minded softball purists to share the same color Jersey as his. That encompassed more than just driving from one patch of dirt to another. A genuine family culture and feeling to compete with him. Fiercely competitive when on the field, genuinely compassionate and deeply caring when off. Laughed well and often, grateful to have met and known him. Competed against him in late 1979, recall glancing at my jersey looked up at his and was struck by the thought, Murph we are both wearing the wrong color jerseys Heavy hearted at his passing, going to be tough saying so long, to my teammate for life and friend. God Bless and keep his family Safe and Well.
