In Loving Memory

It is with a heart filled with both sorrow for the loss of Bennie Hoyle Fink Jr., and gratitude for the 72 years he had, that we say goodbye. Bennie, more so known as Ben, was born on October 16, 1952 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was the first of three sons born to Bennie Hoyle Fink Sr and Gladys Virginia Fink (Smith).

He spent his first years in Oklahoma, before moving to California.  At age 18 he married the love of his life Patricia Lee Grabowski.  Ben worked hard as an optician, once owning his own shop, and spending the last few years before enjoying retirement, at Hoya Vision Care. He mastered his craft over the many years that he spent in his field, and friends and family often called on him to help them with their glasses.

When not running a successful business, he was running a successful household, including his beloved wife and two sons, Brian, and Michael. He enjoyed both playing and watching sports, classic cars and events that involved either of the two. He deeply loved watching his 4 grandchildren Aidyn, Makayla, Holly and Nicole grow, often attending performances, sports and many dance recitals.  He will be remembered for his jokes, his playful nature, his love of his family, and his love of animals (particularly all of the cats in his care), and his optimism at each start of the NFL season for his Raiders team.

Ben was preceded in death by his parents Bennie Hoyle Fink, Sr. and Gladys Fink, his wife of 30 years Patti Lee Fink, his brother Steve Fink, and his grandson Benjamin Michael Fink. He will be remembered with love by his son Brian (Cheryl) Fink, son Michael, brother Kirk (Bernadine) Fink, grandson and granddaughters, as well as other family and friends. We ask that when you think of Bennie, you remember his laugh and his willingness to help others, no matter the task.
