Jackie was born in Pitcher, Oklahoma to Opal and Edna Blount and passed away at the age of 85. She moved to California in 1942 and graduated from Livingston High School in 1953. In 1957 she married the love of her life Roland “Bob” Matthews. She worked as a telephone operator and at Woolworths before moving to Virginia for a short period. She owned and operated B&M Ranch Walnut Hulling and Drying from 1972-1989 when they sold the business. Jackie worked as a clerk driver for Stanislaus County from 1994 until her retirement in 2017.
Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, fishing, quilting and antiquing.
She is survived by her children Cindy (Henry) Smith, Valerie (George) Hibbs, Terri (John) Fagundes, all of Turlock, and Lynette (Doug) Roberson of Sonora; twelve grandchildren Michael White, Rolanda Smith, Henry Smith, Anthony Hibbs, Derek (Amanda) Hibbs, Jeremy Hibbs, Tony Fagundes, Jared Fagundes, Zach Roberson and Shane (Alica) Roberson, Suzanna (Jeff) Wolfgang and Laina (Mark) Vann; and eleven great grandchildren. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Opal Blount and Edna Blount Neville; husband Roland “Bob” Matthews; siblings Lloyd Blount, James Blount, Bernice Silva, Bob Blount, Eugene Blount, Ronald Blount, Mickey Blount, Arrahwanna Harris and Stephen Blount.
Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 4:00-7:00p.m. Funeral will also be at Allen Mortuary on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:30p.m. with interment to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.

She tells me everyday I come in I was just sitting here thinking of Jackie and how you would go to church togather and sang in church together at I street church where uncle Lee met aunt Judy and they fell in love Momma tells me how she went to your house after church and ate with you and how Mrs. Blount made the best fried chicken ever .She said Jackie would be shy and bashful and giggle alot at Momma and tell Momma Dorothy your crazy. Momma has not stopped talking about you and will miss you until she see’s you again she said she is so Happy you and Uncle Lee came to her 80th. Happy Birthday Party . We are praying for all of you and Love you all . Momma says she will forever Love you as her childhood friend she knows your with Jesus because you loved him so much and your with uncle Lee and all your family now and her prayers now are for all your girls and family.
