Carolyn Sue Cameron, age 78, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Modesto, California. Born on October 28, 1946, in Tulare, California, Carolyn lived a life marked by dedication to her family, her work, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.

Carolyn devoted 38 years of her professional life to education as an instructional aide at Keyes Elementary School and Spratling Middle School. Her long-standing commitment to supporting students and teachers left a lasting impression on the school community she served. Her presence in the classroom was a steady source of encouragement and care for generations of children.

She is lovingly remembered by the love of her life Larry Cameron—they had been blessed with a wonderful marriage for 60 years! Her sons: James Cameron (Trina) and Rodney Cameron (Desiree); and her grandchildren: Allison, Austin, Ava and Cody Cameron. Also, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved very much. Carolyn’s family was the heart of her world, and she found great joy in being present for their milestones and everyday moments.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Martin; her stepfather, Sylvester Martin; her sisters, Rita MacDannald and Rhonda Box; and her brother, Richard Box.

Outside of work and family life, Carolyn found joy in cooking for loved ones—a passion that brought people together around the table. She also loved dancing and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. Time spent in the mountains with family held a special place in her heart, offering cherished memories filled with laughter and connection.

A memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, California on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 4:00 P.M.

Carolyn’s warmth and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
