In loving memory of Cervando Avalos Ortiz

On September 21, 2025 Cervando completed his journey on earth. He reached the finish line and currently dwells in the presence of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Many are the plans in the heart and mind of a man, but its Gods plan that will stand. Cervando patiently waits in heaven for his two sons, daughter, six grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, and all of his friends. Cervando was a humble kindhearted man with a gift from above. A guitar and his voice were the two objects of his worship to God and his expression of love towards his family and friends. Cervando had a deeply profound desire to share a message from above. This world and everything in it, is a blink of an eye compared to eternity. Life on this earth is not meant to last forever, its meant to prepare for eternity.

While he expressed his gratitude with the temporary gift of life on earth, Cervando shared many laughs and smiles with family and friends. He sang his heart out to many. Our hearts feel the pain of his absence but rejoice in the hope that we will see each other again. Cervando is a prime example of the following Proverb 13:7 “There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing; And one who makes himself poor, yet has great riches”. Great riches that are eternal and do no parish like material possessions.

Those who knew Cervando understand the riches that he has, a heart of pure gold, a spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind. We are not losing you Dad, heaven is gaining an Angel and one day at Gods appointed time, we will all be together there where you are.

For all family and friends, my dad lovingly requested the following. “Canta y no llores”, “Sing and don’t cry”. Its never goodbye, simply I’ll see you later. This is not the end of a life, its the beginning of it.

A visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, California on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 5-7pm.

A funeral service will also be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 10:00am

Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park, 425 North Soderquist Road, Turlock, California..
