Coma, age 88, left this world to go home to Jesus Thursday morning. She was the only child born in Siloam Springs, AR to Henry and Vesta Featherston. She lived most of her adult life in Stevinson, Hilmar, and Turlock.
Our mom was extraordinary, independent and generous. Mom loved to sew, cook, camp, fish, hunt and go to church. She worked very hard throughout her life in various occupations. She was so proud when she passed the exam to qualify as a federal and state poultry inspector, retiring after thirty years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Colleen Wisdom, son Larry Davis and step-son Dennis Rhodes.
Coma is survived by her daughters Kathy Baptista (Charles) and Teresa Wells (Tom); step-son Robert Rhodes; grandchildren Shelly Baptista-Williams (Dan), Richard Baptista, Toby Wells (Tami), Tara Wells, Jesse Davis (Stephanie), and Donald Costa (Lori); step-grandchildren Jasmin Rhodes, Hope Rhodes, Jacob Rhodes, Jennifer Juanitas, and Brent Watts. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at Allen Mortuary from 4:00-7:00pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, March 28th at Family Life Church, 200 North Ave., Turlock at 1:00pm, with burial to follow at North Hilmar Cemetery.
