Cynthialey was born on February 9, 1956 in east Palo Alto, from the union of Betty Mae Williams and Porter Rolland. She worked for the state of California at Agnews Insane Asylum for 18 years. Her hobbies included shopping, riding bikes, BBQing, partying, spending time with her family and friends and praising and worshipping. Cynthialey enjoyed the simple things in life.
She was a member of Holy Grounds Ministry in Turlock where she was an usher, a member of the choir and had the honor of serving as the pastor’s assistant. She would often host bible studies outside her home to minister to others. Cynthialey would always be a listening ear and offered advice and guidance to anyone. She loved the Lord, her church and her family.
She leaves behind her children Preston “Lydell” Dennis, Kendra Rideout, Terresa Rolland, Tyree Rolland, Kenneth Rideout and daughter in law Loreal Carter Dennis; siblings Wendy Rolland, Mallory Rolland, Renae Rolland, Everette Rolland and sister in law Carla Rolland; grandchildren Kiara Rideout, Shane Singh, Thalia Rideout, Maque’la Carter, D’Adrien Carter, Steven Reed, Jeremiah Reed, Khalia Rideout, Preston “PJ” Dennis, Kody Dennis, and Royal Rideout. Cynthialey was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Fred Abraham and Porter Rolland Jr.; and sister Nettier Nolan.
Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 3:00-7:00p.m. Funeral will be held at Holy Grounds Ministry Church in Turlock on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 11:30a.m. with interment to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
