David Ned Boyles December 9, 1939 - February 6, 2024

David Ned Boyles, age 84 of Turlock, CA, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on the morning of February 6, 2024.

The youngest of 6 children born in West Virginia to Ovie and Virginia (Ginny) Boyles, David moved with his family to California at the age of 14. After graduating from Turlock High School in 1957, David entered the United States Navy where he served proudly from 1958-1962.

David settled in the Modesto area and worked for FMC until 1983, then for Foster Farms in Livingston until he retired in 2005.

David is survived by his children: Melanie Carter (Rick), Justin Boyles (Tammy), Kurt Boyles (Laine), Emily Vazquez (Frankie), Lisa Davis (Darrin) and Leslie Gallagher. Also, Janice Damron (Jon), Cynthia Sauls (Todd), Kimberly Damron, Joseph Damron, Kristen Damron and Nancy Massey (Jason). He is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Stapleton, as well as 20 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Carla Dee Boyles (1981) and later, wife, Sharon Diane Boyles (2022), his brothers, Charles Boyles and James Boyles and his sisters, Louise Norman, Elsie Sawyer and Elizabeth Meabrod.

Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Saturday, February 10, beginning at 10:30 am. A funeral service will follow at 12:30pm. All are invited to a reception following the service at Mitchell Community Church, 1507 S. Mitchell Rd. in Turlock.

A private burial, with military honors, will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.

    I’m so sorry to see that Uncle David has passed. He will be with Grandma Louise now. Hug her dearly for me please! He looks so handsome in this picture!! Sing sweet with the angels now Uncle. Sending love to all the family.

    My Family, How I wish I was there to hug you all. How grateful I am for David and for giving me all of you. I smile thinking of him hugging Mom again and how joyous it certainly is. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you all.
