Elaine Agnes Luis, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022, with family beside her.
Born on December 17, 1928 in Merced County, Elaine was raised on her family dairy farm in Stevinson, California. Elaine graduated from Hilmar High School and moved to Turlock in 1967. Elaine worked in the food service industry for over 30 years with Latif’s Restaurant in Turlock, then with Memorial Medical Center in Modesto until she retired.
Elaine was predeceased by her parents Joe and Violet Jacinto, and brothers Frank Jacinto and Joe Jacinto. Elaine is survived by her children Susan Vieira (Frank) of Odessa, Missouri, Michael Luis (Rochelle) of Stockton, Elizabeth Giannone (Ron) of Turlock, Roxanne Frazier (Ken) of Turlock and Nancy DeSilva (Manuel) of Hilmar, as well as her 17 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be prayed at Allen Mortuary Chapel on June 21, 2022 at 6:00pm. Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock on June 22, 2022 at 10:00am, followed by interment at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
In-lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elaine to the Sacred Heart Church.
