Jennifer Doerksen March 4, 1955 - August 30, 2025

Jennifer Doerksen of Turlock passed peacefully on August 30, at 70, surrounded by her daughters.

A proud graduate of Denair High School, Jennifer earned her degree in English, graduating magna cum laude, from California State University Stanislaus, where she also received her teaching credential.

Throughout her life, Jennifer was driven by her love of reading and writing, roles she embraced both as a teacher and a writer. Her commitment to education was matched only by her deep connection to the community. She was also a talented restaurateur and avid entertainer, known for her charisma, playfulness, and generosity, often sharing delicious meals and treats with friends and loved ones. Jennifer’s vibrant personality and her gift for connecting with others will be remembered with great fondness. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. Jennifer was a member of PEO, Rotary, First United Methodist Church and served on school boards.

Jennifer Doerksen is survived by her daughters: Lexy McCallum and Antonia Bethel; her grandchildren Zeke McCallum and Colette McCallum; her step-grandson Evan Huttenburg; her mother Virginia Doerksen; her sister Gretchen Marquette; her brother Matt Doerksen; as well as her many dear relatives and close friends.

A Celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at First United Methodist Church, 1660 Arbor Way in Turlock.
