Jesse Torres Gimeno, age 78 of Turlock, passed away September 2, 2023 at Emanuel Medical Center. He was born in Russell City on June 30, 1945 to Cipriano and Jesus (Torres) Gimeno. He graduated in 1963 from Sunset High School in Hayward and then enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964. Jesse married Rose in 1965. After his honorable discharge from the service in 1968, he worked for General Motors for over 20 years and then Save Mart for over 20 years. He settled in Turlock in 2004 to be closer to his daughters and grandkids. Jesse enjoyed sports, fishing, cooking and loved spending time with his grandkids.
Jesse is survived by his two daughters Lisa (Rene) Cedillo and Lynalda (Javier Fe Guzman) Cardenas; five grandchildren, Jesse, Kenny, Cesar (Jeyna), Alexis (Allen) and Angel; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Blanca Hampton, Tony Gimeno, Virginia (Martin) Espinosa, Rita (Danny) Lefler, Vicente Gimeno, and Roy (Althea) Gimeno, and several nieces and nephews.
Jesse is preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Gimeno, and four siblings Cipriano Gimeno, Daniel Gimeno, Gloria Torres, and Bobby Gimeno.
Funeral services will be at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 10am with interment to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery at 1pm.
