John Wesley Allen Jr., of Dos Palos, CA, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
John was born on February 24, 1949, in Fresno, CA, and spent his life as a military veteran and a pillar of his community. He was known above all for his friendship and his open-door policy, welcoming all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Tammy Anderson (Andre); grandchildren Marcus Bradley (Christina), Shantell Allen, Mariah Barney, Jazmine Anderson, and Davante Wade (Kara). He was preceded in death by his father, John Wesley Allen Sr.; mother, Josie Greer; daughter, Alesha Allen; and grandson, Dominique Anderson.
A celebration of life will be held on April 3, 2026, at Mount Moriah First Baptist Church in Dos Palos, CA.
