Josephine “JoMarie” Marie Drouillard
April 12, 1940 – July 26, 2025
Josephine Marie Drouillard, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully with family around on July 26, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Albany, California, to Frank William Torchia and Lena Marie Bellisano, JoMarie lived most of her life in the Bay Area, calling Pinole and El Cerrito home before spending the last 27 years of her life in Turlock, CA.
JoMarie was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 58 years, James M. Drouillard. She is survived by her loving children, Loring Drouillard (Christine) and Margaret Patterson (Troy); her treasured grandchildren, Sarah Homer (Josh), Melissa Jeffery (Garratt), Joseph Drouillard, Sarah Cobleigh (Thomas), Stephanie Brendle (Jason), Jennifer Patterson, Rebecca Bull (Nate) and Michael Patterson; and her adoring great-grandchildren, Seth Homer, Faith Jeffery, Micah Homer, Brooke Jeffery, Kassidy Jeffery, Ivan Patterson, Evelynn Patterson, Aria Homer, Logan Drouillard, and Sutton Brendle. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.
A woman of deep faith and tireless generosity, JoMarie devoted 27 years of service as a Eucharistic Minister and Catechism teacher at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (Pinole, CA) and also served 15 years with the PTA at Tara Hills Elementary School. JoMarie worked for Target for 25 years, where her warmth and work ethic left a lasting impression on many lives.
JoMarie loved with her whole heart. She never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome, always ensuring no one left her home hungry. Her joy for life was reflected in her love of music and reading and poetry, passions she shared freely with those around her.
She will be remembered for her boundless compassion, her unwavering devotion to her family and faith, and the countless lives she touched with kindness, laughter, and love.
