Lloyd George Russell Jr. “Rusty” left us November 22, 2025. Lloyd was born December 16, 1948 at Fitzsimmons Army Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He attended schools Castle Air Force base, California, Atwater California, Bellevue, Nebraska and graduated from Atwater High in 1966 and Fresno State College at Fresno, California in 1970 with a Bachelors in Political Science. He went on to work and retire as the head of Maintenance for San Bonito Foods in Hollister, California.
Lloyd was an avid outdoorsmen and artist who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking all through his years. Duck hunting was his biggest passion. Lloyd’s woodworking talents and hunting passion melted into one. He was best known for his lifelike wood carved ducks that he meticulously created. Often donating his creations to various wildlife conservation groups for fundraising.
In 1977 Lloyd met and married Sue “Susie” Artrip and took on the role of “Dad” to her two young children Tammy and Casey. Lloyd and Susie would have been married and together for 48 years this year on December 23rd.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Sue Russell (Artrip), his three children, Tammy King, Casey King, Amy (and Mark) Bettincourt (Russell) and his two most favorite humans ever, grandsons Dexter and Ryder Bettincourt all of Stevinson, California . Lloyd was the oldest of four leaving
behind his brothers Bradley and Douglas Russell both of Big Fork, Montana.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his sister Kathryn and parents Thelma and Lloyd of Big Fork, Montana.
A private celebration of life is to be held in the near future. Bequest information can be made through Lloyd’s daughter Amy.
