Lynn Mallett Lea
March 1956 – January 2024
Lynn was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Robert and Dorothy Whitehurst and passed away at the age of 67. She was a very Godly woman with a deep love of children. Lynn had a thirst for the word of God which brought her to her bible daily. Her love of family and friends made such an impact on all their lives.
She made many missionary trips to various countries including Africa and Brazil.
Lynn was the childcare director for Hilmar Christian Childrens Center for 25 years. She was an incredible protector and teacher of children and was rewarded for her years of service with a plaque.
Lynn is survived by her husband Kenny Lea; children Jeremy (Jeanette) Mallett, Joe Mallett, Brian (Lisa) Lea and Mellissa (Kurt) Leamer; siblings Sue Doss, Angie Mingin and Robin Whitehurst; grandchildren Zamora Mallett, Lemmy Mallett, Walker Leamer, Hunter Leamer, Jonah Lea and Jace Lea and great grandson Oliver Mallett. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Citrena Mallett.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held at Hilmar Covenant Church on Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00a.m.
