Manuel Antonio Vieira, 77, passed away January 24, 2024. Manuel was born on March 24, 1946, in Santo Antão, São Jorge. He was enlisted in the Tropa (Portuguese Army) and served in Angola. Manuel immigrated to America on June 22, 1970, where he worked in the dairy industry and lastly as a dairy manager in Crows Landing, CA before he retired. He enjoyed participating in Bode de Leites, Puxadas, and woodworking.
He leaves behind two daughters: Jessica Berbereia (Victor) of Hilmar and Lucy Anderson of Hilmar; four grandchildren: Marcus Berbereia, Madison Berbereia, Katelyn Anderson, and Sarah Anderson; two great grandchildren: Nicole Rae Berbereia and Tiago Manuel Berbereia; sister LaSalette Azevedo of Sonoma, and brother Lucio Simao of Turlock, along with many nieces and nephews.
Manuel is preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, and two sisters.
Manuel was a husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend, who will be missed dearly and cherished always.
