Mark C. Wallace January 11, 1950 - August 13, 2025

Mark Christopher Wallace, son of Rankin and Beverly Wallace, was born and raised in Turlock. He lived in the area all his life. He attended local schools, graduating from Turlock High School in 1968. He also attended Modesto Junior College and California State University Stanislaus. He was on the Turlock High School swim team, and served as the Alert yearbook photographer.

While the Turlock area remained his home base, his jobs took him to other areas for weeks and months at a time. He loved the Point Reyes area, and especially Arizona. But his favorite place was Pinecrest – the lake and the old Boy Scout Camp McBride.

He worked at many jobs over the years, including electrician, machinist, truck driver, carpenter and radio announcer. He loved music, art and photography, amateur radio, autocross racing, sailing and hang gliding. But his real love was bicycling.

In addition to his parents, Mark is preceded in death by his brother Brian Wallace.

He is survived by his brothers David Wallace of Seward, Nebraska and Matthew Wallace of Cloverdale, California.

Mark’s life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 3:00pm at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock.
