Philip Glen Browning, 74 of Delhi passed away at his home on February 25, 2026. He was born on January 3, 1952, in Turlock to Glen and Marcella (Ortman) Browning.
He was raised in Delhi and graduated from Livingston High in 1970. He worked in the grocery business for 40 years, retiring as Store Director from Cost Less Market on Carpenter Road, Modesto, in 2015. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Winton where he served as a deacon. He loved landscaping and could always be found tending to his property. He was a volunteer Fireman for Delhi Fire Department in his younger years.
In addition to his parents, Philip is preceded in death by his beloved brother and best friend, Chris Browning.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Browning of Delhi, daughter, Rebecca (Rick) Carrillo of Turlock and brothers, Steven Browning of Turlock and Scott Browning of Atwater. Philip also has three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Alisa Carrillo (Eliana, Malena & A.J.) Trinity Carrillo (Violet) and Richard Glen Carrillo.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10 AM at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
