Richard “Dick” Davis passed away on June 12, 2025. He was born in 1945 in Abilene, TX to Joy and Maxine Davis. He met the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Joyce, while in college. They started a family in Denair, CA and raised two children. Dick taught for 36 years for Waterford School District before he retired. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, as well as a devoted church member his entire life, most recently at First Christian Church in Turlock, CA.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, son Michael (Erin) Davis, Michelle (Anthony) Sandoval; sister Nancy (Tim) Perkins; Grandchildren Garrett (Samara) Davis, Blake (Charley) Davis, Natalya Sandoval, Mateo Sandoval, and Great Granddaughter Teegan Davis; and niece Melissa Torres.
Upon his request, there will be no service held. Donations may be made in his honor by visiting the Community Hospice & Health website.
