Richard “Richie” Raygoza Jr. September 17, 1966 - July 30, 2022

September 17, 1966 ~ July 30, 2022

In his youth, “Richie” was always up for a spur of the moment, ‘fly by the seat of your pants’ adventure! He was a big brother that loved and defended his sisters with fervor. He never allowed for a dull moment, and seized every waking minute by convincing the nearest person daring enough, to venture into the unknown. Caves were explored, rafting exploits were had, and epic neighborhood tomato fights were battled!

His children were the actual loves of his life, just nearly after the love of his  grandchildren. (To that special little boy, who knows who he is and will tell you if he is asked, you were the twinkle in Papa’s eye.)

Given that Richie was originally given six months to a year to live, TEN years ago, he was the truest definition of a WARRIOR. Though his battle with colon cancer was more than a lesser man could bear, he passed the time with a smile on his face, jokes, and silly antics that are storybook worthy! Son, brother, father, papa, funcle, friend; his fight was one dedicated to those he loved. He was selfless, kind spirited,God-fearing, and always had a way of making those who were lucky enough to know him, feel special and that they had, even for a moment, been seen.

“We are so honored and proud to love and have had been loved ‘too much’ by you.”

Richard is survived by his children Marie, Britney, Marisela, Suave and Mark; parents Richard and Maryalice Raygoza; siblings Regina, Mikki, Raquel, Candice and Ezekiel; grandchildren Alissa, Payton, Bella, Giselle, Jubilee, Natalie, Miguel “Miggy”, Adelaide, Charlie and another on the way; and great granddaughter Valeria.

Visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Friday, August 5, 2022 from 5:00-7:00p.m.  Funeral service will be held at Abundant Life Christian Center in Modesto on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 9:00a.m. with interment to follow at Ceres Memorial Park.
