On June 13th, 2023, Stephen (Steve) Roe Jones of 78 years passed away in his home. His wife, Terry Jones, was by his side at his final moments. He has left us with countless memories of a loving father and husband.
Steve was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 17th, 1945. He was the oldest of two other siblings. After finishing high school, he went into the sheet metal trade and he married his first wife, Judy Werby. They had two wonderful children: Jennifer Lynne and Stephen Allen; sadly, Jennifer passed away in 2017. He married Terry on August 14th, 1982, and they had his youngest son, Michael William.
Steve was a lover of cars, guns, and books. He had a gift for carpentry, from creating home improvements to crafting sets for school plays. Many will remember Steve for his fun, sarcastic humor. It was rare to see him without a smile; his natural kind and friendly demeanor led him into the hearts of others. Though he never seemed to be happier than when he was around his wife, children, and grandchildren.
His love is still with us, even after his passing.
